If there was one thing that stood out from the Week 2 NFL Okbet betting roundup, it was how quickly the AFC North’s weekend went south.
On Sunday, the defending AFC North champion Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens were a combined 0-4 both straight up and against the spread. And it took spectacular fourth-quarter collapses by the Browns and Ravens to make that happen.
Okbet Sportsbook feels bad for everybody who bet on Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson to win the NFL MVP.
These are just a few of the major betting stories from the second week of the NFL season. In our NFL Week 2 Okbet betting preview, we’ll take a closer look at each of these unlikely events.
In the North, the East

Not only did the AFC North suffer a shocking defeat in Week 2, but all four teams were also beaten by teams from the East. The Bengals, a 7-point road favorite, were defeated 20-17 by the reigning NFC East champion Dallas Cowboys, despite having #2 QB Cooper Rush at the head of America’s team.
Each of the other AFC North teams were defeated by AFC East opponents. With less than two minutes remaining in regulation, the Browns, 6.5-point home favorites, led the New York Jets 30-17. The Jets then won 31-30 with two late touchdown drives led by washed-up veteran Joe Flacco.
The Ravens led 35-14 entering the fourth quarter in Baltimore. Tua Tagovailoa tossed four fourth-quarter touchdown passes to lead the Dolphins to a 42-38 victory. It was the first time since 2011 that a team came back from a 21-point hole entering the fourth quarter. Prior to Miami’s victory, teams in that situation had gone 0-711 SU.
Pittsburgh lost 17-14 at home to the favored New England Patriots, but that was to be expected. Bill Belichick, the head coach of the Patriots, is now 14-4-1 ATS in his career against the Steelers. Checkout on Okbet Sportsbook or visit Okbet.com.
OKbet News Update: NFL Tens with Flaws that will affect betting
Four teams took the field during Week 2 as the 10-point chalk in their games. Two of those teams managed to cover.
Buffalo crushed the Tennessee Titans 41-7 as a 10-point home pick. The Bills, favored in the Super Bowl odds, are 2-0 with wins over the defending Super Bowl champs (Los Angeles Rams) and reigning AFC North #1 seed (Tennessee).
Aaron Rodgers maintained his mastery over the Chicago Bears. The Green Bay Packers covered as 10-point home favorites, beating the Bears 27-10. Rodgers is now 22-5 SU at 18-9 ATS in his last 27 games against Chicago.
The Rams were not so lucky. The Rams, a 10-point favorite over the Atlanta Falcons, won but did not cover with a 31-27 victory. The Falcons are 0-2 SU but 2-0 ATS under Marcus Mariota.
When it comes to covering, the Houston Texans are 0-1-1 SU but 2-0 ATS. They traveled to Denver as 10-point underdogs and lost 16-9 to the Broncos.
While it may appear that 10 points is a lot to offer another NFL club, research provided by Radar360 shows that NFL teams favored by 10 points cover the majority of the time. There have now been 31 NFL games between 2017 and 2022 in which a team was favored by exactly 10 points. In those games, favorites are 17-13-1 ATS.
Rus-Sell-ing the NFL MVP Future on betting

If you chose to place a future book bet on new Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson in the NFL MVP odds, today is your fortunate day.
What’s that? Isn’t Wilson having a horrible year? He is, indeed. Wilson has two touchdowns and one interception. His passing score is 86.5.
So, what’s the point of that? On the other hand, is feeling your agony. As a consolation, the OKbet sportsbook is providing all bettors who have a Wilson MVP ticket with them a free bet.
