Kevin Durant has changed his mind, and as a result, the Brooklyn Nets’ odds have shifted.
Durant has withdrawn his trade request. Instead, he’ll remain with the Nets.
As far as Brooklyn is concerned, everything is changing on the NBA landscape.
Prior to the announcement, bettors could access a +1800 betting line on the Nets in the 2022-23 NBA Championship odds. Today, those odds have shortened to as low as +700 at some of the leading online betting sites such as Okbet.com.

KD’s Opinion Has Changed
Durant, his agent Rich Kleiman, and the Brooklyn management team of owner Joe Tsai, general manager Sean Marks, and head coach Steve Nash met in California on Monday. When the meeting concluded, KD’s concerns about his future with the Nets were allayed. He intended to remain in Brooklyn.
Durant issued an ultimatum to the Brooklyn Nets on June 30, shortly after the Nets were swept in the first round of the NBA playoffs by the Boston Celtics. They have the option of firing Marks and Nash or trading him to another NBA team.
The trade request came less than a year after Durant and the Nets agreed to a four-year, $198-million contract extension. Tsai was adamant that he would not fire Nash or Marks.
When the Nets attempted to trade Durant, they discovered that their asking price was too high to elicit any bids. They were looking for a Durant-type all-star, some young talent, and a slew of first-round picks.
